Luxvibe.io was my most ambitious project yet — a luxury lifestyle platform with curated content, dynamic collections, and a design language that had to feel premium. Building it taught me things no tutorial ever could.
Start With the Feeling
Before I wrote a single line of code, I spent time figuring out how the site should feel. Luxury isn't about gold gradients and serif fonts. It's about restraint, spacing, and confidence. Every design decision flowed from that principle.
AI as a Design Partner
I used Claude to iterate on layouts, color palettes, and micro-interactions. I'd describe what I wanted — "a card hover effect that feels expensive but not flashy" — and we'd go back and forth until it was right. AI doesn't have taste, but it can execute on yours if you describe it well enough.
Ship Before You're Ready
Luxvibe taught me that perfect is the enemy of live. I launched with features I wasn't 100% happy with, then improved them based on real feedback. Every day the site is live is a day I'm learning something I couldn't learn from a localhost.
The Real Takeaway
Building something ambitious with AI isn't about the AI doing the work for you. It's about removing the technical barriers so you can focus on the creative vision. The hard part was never the code — it was knowing what to build and why.
